Ew.

I think I really, really hate this sock yarn.

As a new name for this color scheme (which is deceptively called "Crayons" on knitpicks), I suggest "Circus Tent Upon Which a Clown Has Vomited."

The sock has thrown me all out of whack today. I've been thinking about lots of Big Life Decisions lately -- most of which are lousy blog fodder -- and finding out that my exciting, fun, and kicky sock yarn is hideous has pushed me from slightly melancholy into dangerously morose. I'm having a rough enough time of dealing with the end of the Spring quarter and all the complications that go with moving a few states away; it doesn't seem fair that my yarn should morph into mustard yellow and nuclear pink overnight.

I just wanted a pair of cute socks. Is that too much to ask?

Comments on "Ew."

Overdye them?

Hm. If I had the time and the dye, I'd do this.

I think I might just stash it until I meet a clown with cold feet.

Depending on how much yarn you have, it could make a cute (in a LSD clown sort of way) baby sweater.

"Circus Tent Upon Which a Clown Has Vomited"--Love it! Very funny! Maybe you could petition KnitPicks to rename that colorway or volunteer to name future colorways.

I can see why this stuff is on sale.

If anyone does see an LSD clown baby, please let me know.
